Because I have a flippin’ painful stiff neck!
No, really. Each tiny jerk everytime the phone rings or if someone hollered at me from a workstation situated anywhere beyond directly in front of where I’m sitting sends my pain receptors into overdrive from my shoulder blades up.
Anyway, there’s supposed to be this slew of tax exemptions granted by Budget 2009 for employees who receive such heaven-sent benefits from their employers, like traditional medicine and alternative treatments… that I so need right now. The funny thing is, all those exemptions were supposed to have kicked in for the calendar year 2008. But given the propensity of our legislators for twisting the intentions of a proposal into some unimplementable creature and propel us to grander heights of global laughing stock, which employer would have the guts to pay for our neck massages without a written decree, I ask?
Oww.

I can ask millions of question to deduct a diagnosis but since all diagnosis lead to painkillers/anti inflammatory drugs as the end treatment..(who says doctors have a tough job? Any complain of pain just Ponstan them), then I suggest a plaster with analgesics like Ketotop for instance…and get rid of the cotton pillow if you’re sleeping on one. If the missus is the cause, then a bit complicated..but resting the neck would be good, and when you hit the shower, let the hot (not too hot until scalding..just in case..to avoid lawsuit) water run over the neck for a while…but my bet would be the desk job and the staring at the computer in a manner unergonomics that got you into this state…again…try the plaster, if not the painkillers….
Have a great weekend…ouchless…
Taxy: Thanks, Doc. The one my company paid for gave me some orange coloured pills for the pain (and a jab on the butt). I couldn’t really turn my head, so driving to work was out… and yes, the diagnosed ’cause’ was staring at a laptop at a not too optimal posture. Walked around like C3PO for three days and just got my neck back.
